Fuel and Oil Additives
There’s always been a lot of scepticism surrounding the use of fuel and oil additives, and a lot of this has its beginning with “snake oil” salesmen making claims that they simply could not deliver on.
Yet today, there are more problems with deposits in modern, precision, high performance engines, than ever before. Fuel systems, combustion chambers, turbochargers, catalytic convertors, diesel particulate filters, exhaust gas recirculation valves, inlet manifolds, crankcases, piston rings are all candidates for fouling deposits that sap performance, efficiency and cause malfunctions.
The need for purpose designed chemicals that can safely restore cleanliness to, and protect, all these parts has never been higher…firstly because mechanical repairs to clean or replace these components (as well as the cost of components) is expensive, and time consuming. And secondly, because today’s engines are designed with very fine operating tolerances, they are also more susceptible to smaller amounts of deposits than older technology engines. Higher operating temperatures assist efficiency, but can produce tougher deposits.
Specifically designed fuel and oil additives
High quality fuel and oil additives are designed specifically to address these problems. they are an easy to use, low cost solution, that is extremely cost effective and time efficient.
Problems such as…
- Common rail diesel injector problems, causing rattles, smoke and high fuel use. Typical solution: Replace injectors at around $1000 each. OR: Use CRD Fuel Enhancer. (Success rate >90%)
- Coking of combustion and exhaust spaces and turbos in petrol and diesel engines esp with city work, excess idling, short run times. Typical solution: Mechanical cleaning, decarbonizing, etc. OR: Add FTC Decarbonizer, drive normally and zero downtime. (Success rate > 90%)
- Engine Oil Sludgy engines and dirty oil is common in both modern petrol engines (because of higher temperatures), older diesels and modern common rail diesels in light vehicles and trucks. Typical Solution: Rebuild the engine. OR: Use Flushing Oil Concentrate to restore complete cleanliness throughout all lubricated parts of the engine, free up sticking piston rings, restore power, reduce smoke and blowby. Easy, low cost DIY job taking 40 minutes. (Success rate > 90%)
- Fouled cat convertor, diesel particulate filter and EGR. Typical Solution: Remove and replace or manually clean parts. OR: Add FTC Decarbonizer and drive normally. (Success rate > 90%). If EGR’s are heavily fouled, mechanical cleaning may be necessary to avoid allowing deposits to enter combustion spaces.
- Inlet manifold deposits can almost close off parts of manifolds, and are regular problems with Common rail diesels. Typical Solution: Chemically cleaning inlets really risks damage, and is not recommended. Remove manifold and clean. OR: Prevent this happening. Keep clean with FTC Decarbonizer and CRD Fuel Enhancer.
- Overheating automatic transmissions. Autos are susceptible to damage during prolonged periods of high load work, eg towing, heavy off road work. Typical Solution: Install an additional transmission oil cooler. OR: Add AW10 Antiwear to reduce overheating at the source, rather than cooling overheated oil. (Success rate > 90%)
- Diesel Overheating (despite new radiator, pump, fan hub…everything). Typical Solution: The whole cooling system has been renewed, so there’s no options left. OR: Flushing Oil Concentrate to allow the engine oil to do its part in cooling. (Success rate > 90%)
