FTC Decarbonizer Independent ULP Testing

FTC Decarbonizer – Independent Unleaded Fuel Testing

FTC Decarbonizer is suitable for use in unleaded petrol and is designed to support cleaner, more complete combustion while helping reduce combustion-related carbon deposits.

To confirm that the treatment did not negatively affect fuel quality, ULP 98 treated with FTC Decarbonizer and Cleanpower Fuel Treatment was independently tested by Intertek against relevant Australian petrol-quality requirements.

The treated fuel remained compliant across every parameter included in the laboratory testing program, including octane rating, oxidation stability, gum content, copper corrosion, sulfur, benzene, oxygenates, lead and phosphorus.

Independent laboratory conclusion

The treated ULP 98 conformed to the applicable Australian Fuel Quality Standards requirements for Premium Unleaded Petrol without ethanol across all parameters tested.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is FTC Decarbonizer suitable for use in unleaded petrol?

Yes. FTC Decarbonizer is suitable for use in unleaded petrol. This independent testing was completed on treated ULP 98.

Has FTC-treated unleaded fuel been independently tested?

Yes. Intertek independently tested ULP 98 treated with FTC Decarbonizer and Cleanpower Fuel Treatment against relevant Australian petrol-quality requirements.

Did the treatment negatively affect the octane rating?

No. The treated sample recorded a Research Octane Number of 98.1 and a Motor Octane Number of 87.4, with both results above the applicable minimum limits.

Did the treatment cause excessive gum or corrosion?

No. Average washed gum content was below 0.5 mg/100 mL and the copper corrosion result was Class 1a. Both complied with the applicable limits.

What do the laboratory results confirm?

The results confirm that ULP 98 treated with FTC Decarbonizer and Cleanpower remained compliant with every Australian petrol-quality parameter included in the laboratory testing program.
